We Want: Olive Trousers
Even though the weather is miserable and there is absolutely nowhere to go and nothing to do, we cannot stop thinking about what we wish we were wearing at any given moment. It is definitely not what we are wearing right now (old sweatpants). Instead, our vision is skewing a bit more classic, but still casual. The linchpin is a pair of olive green pants, sometimes referred to as utility pants or military fatigues. These come in an assortment of shapes, including cargos, cropped-leg, trouser-leg, paper bag-waist, and tapered-leg varieties, and they look good with almost anything. You could pair them with a pastel top (a la this trend roundup), or go neutral, or do a navy-and-white stripe. You could wear them with boots, or with sneakers. They’re the perfect in-between pant. Not as confining as denim, not as sloppy as sweats. Here, our favorites of the category.
