We Want: White Sneakers
Sometimes all it takes to totally change your opinion on a look is a woman passing by on the street. In this case, the woman in question was wearing a fairly simple and casual look: straight-leg, lighter wash jeans; a sweater; and, on her feet, white Keds. Keds! Their simplicity and low profile felt refreshing. They were understated and cute. It got us thinking about the power of white sneakers, and how every spring, they are what we really want to be wearing. Below, our nine current favorites.
A total classic. Keds Champion Canvas Sneaker, $36.81 - $54.95.
The Adidas Gazelle is still everywhere, but if you don’t want to buy a sneaker whose popularity may be on the descent, this is a nice alternative. Adidas Forum Low Shoes, $88.
Sometimes, all you want is a new pair of white high-tops. Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star Classic, $65.
Kind of tennis-sporty in the best way. Puma Cali Dream Preppy Platform Sneaker, $90.
A bit more SoCal feeling. Vans Checkerboard Classic Slip-On, $60.
One of the most popular styles right now. New Balance 550, $179.
This is the sneaker that fashion people seem to be embracing this summer. Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66, $110.
Just the right amount of retro. Reebok Court Advance Sneaker, $53.
Love a clean, unbranded style. Madewell Sidewalk Low-Top Sneakers, $88.
