We Want: Fun Sets

We cannot shake the desire for matching sets. Everywhere you look, they’re popping up. Designers like Zimmermann, Chloé, and Ulla Johnson are turning out ultra-feminine printed pairings, but we are also seeing reinvented suiting and more upscale PJ-like dressing. The ease of it all, plus the way it doubles the impact, is promising.
You can go matchy-matchy with the same color family (J.Crew’s doing it in fire-engine red) or the same print. There are suit jacket-pant combos, but also cardigans and skirts, and head-to-toe knits. The only drawback that we can see is cost; buying two items at once is a splurge. So we set out to try to find some more affordable options, many on sale (sizes will be limited).
